Carter is learning about civil rights in school this month. The other day he came home from school and said "Mom do you know Dr. King?" I said "You mean Martin Luther King?" He said exasperated, "No. You know, Dr. King the civil right leader."
A couple of days later he was really cranky coming off the bus and I asked him what was wrong. He threw his arms in the air and whined "Its not fair!" What's not fair, honey? "Mrs. Stensland made all the kids with light colored eyes stand in the back!"
So cute.

It's funny what they take away from school at this age. Sophie swears that Martin Luther King Jr is Mrs. Stensland's cousin and that someone killed him by throwing a bomb in his house. Then again, she also thinks Scooby Doo is real.
